Namita Banka, Founder and CEO

DVL Padmavati, HR Head
She has over 13 years of experience working for various companies in India and the UAE. She competently manages all of our HR and payroll matters. In addition, she is involved in managing corporate administration tasks. She has an MSc degree in math and a BSc in computer science. What is Compostica?
We are famous in the market for our brand, Compostica, which is dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of single-use plastic.
A large number of the plastics that people use today are not biodegradable and will take hundreds of years to decompose in the environment. This is a significant environmental concern for India, a nation with a large population. We realised the urgency of answering this challenge. And in association with the DRDO team, who had created a new kind of plastic that was flexible and robust like conventional plastics but could also biodegrade in the environment, we are working on this sector. We are currently involved in making people use novel biopolymers, which are plant-based ingredients that can eventually break down into compost. It is a special compound blend of PLA, BIOBASED, additives, and starch.
We are excited about this innovation because we believe that Compostica BioPlastics, our new product line, has the potential to significantly impact the globe. Our Long Standing Partnership with DRDO
After a decade of continuous success with our launch of products, which is a technology created by DRDO and licenced to us, we have become a renowned company in the market. We are set to tackle the issue of single-use plastics.
We are proud to cite that next-generation biopolymers have been created by DRDO scientists as an alternative to single-use polyethylene bags. In order to reduce environmental harm, food-grade additives and bio-based starch are used by them to develop products.
In order to meet the carbon footprint reduction targets, Banka Bioloo has become a licenced technology partner of DRDO. Together, we are producing these pellets under our Compostica brand on a commercial basis.
